【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverssteelwireandweldedwirereinforcementproducedfromhot-rolledrodtobeusedforthereinforcementofconcrete.Thesteelwireiscold-worked,drawnorrolled,plain(non-deformed,as-drawnorgalvanized),ordeformed.Weldedwirereinforcementismadefromplainordeformedwire,oracombinationofplainanddeformedwire.CommonwiresizesanddimensionsaregiveninTable1,Table2,Table3,andTable4.Actualwiresizesarenotrestrictedtothoseshowninthetables.Note18212;Weldedwireforconcretereinforcementhashistoricallybeendescribedbyvariousterms:weldedwirefabric,WWF,fabric,andmesh.Thewirereinforcementindustryhasadoptedthetermweldedwirereinforcement(WWR)asbeingmorerepresentativeoftheapplicationsoftheproductsbeingmanufactured.Therefore,thetermweldedwirefabrichasbeenreplacedwiththetermweldedwirereinforcementinthisspecificationandinrelatedspecifications.1.2SupplementS1describeshigh-strengthwire,whichmanufacturersfurnishwhenspecificallyordered.Manufacturersfurnishhigh-strengthwireinplaceofregularwireifmutuallyagreedtobythepurchaserandthemanufacturer.1.3Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.WithinthetexttheSIunitsareshowninbrackets(exceptinTable2andTable4).Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
