【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardgivesgeneralguidanceforthesamplingandanalysisofairborneorganicisocyanate(NCO)compoundsinworkplaceair.ThisInternationalStandardisappropriateforawiderangeoforganiccompoundscontainingisocyanatefunctionalgroups,includingisocyanatemonomersandprepolymers.Examplesofaromaticmonomersincludetoluenediisocyanate(TDI)(both2,4-and2,6-diisocyanatotoluene),naphthyldiisocyanate(NDI)(1,5-diisocyanatonaphthalene)andmethylenebis(4-phenylisocyanate)[MDI,systematicallynamedasdi-(4-isocyanatophenyl)methane].Examplesofaliphaticmonomersincludeisophoronediisocyanate(IPDI,systematicallynamedas1-isocyanato-3-isocyanatomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexane),methylenebis(cyclohexylisocyanate)(hydrogenatedMDI,HMDI)and1,6-diisocyanatohexane(HDI)(alsoknownas1,6-hexamethylenediisocyanate).Monomerscontainingasingleisocyanatemoiety(e.g.methylisocyanate,ethylisocyanate,phenylisocyanate,hexylisocyanate)areproducedduringthermaldegradationofpolyurethanes,i.e.flamebondingandlasercutting.Isocyanatepolymers,alsocalledpolyisocyanates,homopolymers,oligomersorprepolymers,arederivedfromthediisocyanatemonomersbyself-condensationorreactionwithpolyols.Polymericdiisocyanatesarewidelyusedinthepolyurethanes,paintsandcoatings,andadhesivesindustries.ThisInternationalStandardisappropriateformeasuringanyproductcontainingfreeisocyanategroups.ItwasdevelopedprimarilyforthecommonlyusedMDI,HDI,andTDI,andtheiroligomersandpolymers[1].IthasalsobeenusedforIPDI,HMDI,andNDI,andtheiroligomersandpolymers.TheexposurelimitforisocyanatesintheUKrequiresmeasurementoftotalisocyanategroups,i.e.monomericdiisocyanates,oligomeric,prepolymericandpolymericdiisocyanatesandmonoisocyanates.Becausethereareawiderangeofisocyanatestructuresandmolecularmasses,thechromatographicconditionsusedwillneedtobevariedaccordingtotheisocyanateformulationbeingdetermined.Ifbothisocyanatesandaminesarebelievedtobepresent,andbothneedtobedetermined,astandardwhichenablesthesimultaneousdeterminationofbothaminesandisocyanatesmaybemoreappropriate[2].Thismethodhasalsobeenmodifiedtoallowdeterminationofmono-isocyanatesproducedduringthermaldegradation[3],theuseofmassspectrometricdetection[4]andothersamplingequipment,e.g.37mmfiltersandotherfiltercassettes,butthesemodificationsarenotcoveredinthisInternationalStandard.Ifamodifiedversionofthismethodisbeingused,itistheresponsibilityoftheusertodemonstratethatthemodificationsarevalid.Themethodisusedtodeterminetime-weightedaverageconcentrationsoforganicisocyanatesinworkplaceatmospheres,andissuitableforsamplingoverperiodsintherange0,5minto8h.Themethodisdesignedforpersonalmonitoring,butcanalsobeusedforfixedlocationmonitoringbysuitablemodification.Themethodissuitableforthemeasurementofairborneorganicisocyanatesintheconcentrationrangefromapproximately0,1μg/m3to140μg/m3fora15lsamplevolume.Thequalitativeandquantitativedetectionlimitsforisocyanate,definedasthreetimesand10timesthestandarddeviationofsixblankdeterminations,havebeenfoundtobetypicallybetween0,001μgand0,004μgofisocyanatepersample,respectively(ECdetection).Fora15lairsample,thesevaluescorrespondtoqualitativeandquantitativedetectionlimitsof0,07μg/m3and0,3μg/m3,respectively.
