【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversatestthatcanbeusedtocomparethecavitationerosionresistanceofsolidmaterials.Asubmergedcavitatingjet,issuingfromanozzle,impingesonatestspecimenplacedinitspathsothatcavitiescollapseonit,therebycausingerosion.Thetestiscarriedoutunderspecifiedconditionsinaspecifiedliquid,usuallywater.Thistestmethodcanalsobeusedtocomparethecavitationerosioncapabilityofvariousliquids.1.2Thistestmethodspecifiesthenozzleandnozzleholdershapeandsize,thespecimensizeanditsmethodofmounting,andtheminimumtestchambersize.Proceduresaredescribedforselectingthestandoffdistanceandoneofseveralstandardtestconditions.Deviationfromsomeoftheseconditionsispermittedwhereappropriateandifproperlydocumented.Guidanceisgivenonsettingupasuitableapparatus,testandreportingprocedures,andtheprecautionstobetaken.Standardreferencematerialsarespecified;thesemustbeusedtoverifytheoperationofthefacilityandtodefinethenormalizederosionresistanceofothermaterials.1.3Twotypesoftestsareencompassed,oneusingtestliquidswhichcanberuntowaste,forexample,tapwater,andtheotherusingliquidswhichmustberecirculated,forexample,reagentwaterorvariousoils.Slightlydifferenttestcircuitsarerequiredforeachtype.1.4ThistestmethodprovidesanalternativetoTestMethodG32.Inthatmethod,cavitationisinducedbyvibratingasubmergedspecimenathighfrequency(20kHz)withaspecifiedamplitude.Inthepresentmethod,cavitationisgeneratedinaflowingsystemsothatboththejetvelocityandthedownstreampressure(whichcausesthebubblecollapse)canbevariedindependently.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
